POEM FOR MY GRANDMA BANKS ON MY DAD’S SIDE OF THE FAMILY
YESTERDAY WAS YESTERDAY
THE MEMORIES I HAVE OF YOU DEAR GRAN
I WALK THROUGH OPEN FIELDS ALONE WHILST THE SUN GOES DOWN
BEFORE I WALK BACK HOME I LOOK UP AT THE STARS
I IMAGINE ONE OF THE STARS IS YOU
TELLING ME TO BE HAPPY AND NOT TO BE SAD.
