Split logs
Rope hogs
Play ball
Stand tall
Joins Scouts
Sings shouts
Show up
Grow up

Late teens
Build things
Ride hogs
Cut logs
Live good
Bring wood
Some fight
Some write
Toss rings
Have flings
Watch girls 
with curls

Young men
Find glens
Date girls
Buy pearls
Finds wife
For life
Choose right
With might
Sing songs
Right wrongs
Find work
Life’s perk
Result
Adult

Three of my grandsons live with me. So, doing the first part was easy. They range from 18 months to 11 years of age. The older phases, I wrote remembering my own son who is now only 25. I am old enough to have been his grandmother. So, I felt comfortable and had great fun writing this footle poem.
