Grandpa

Grandpa
by carlyn parent

there he is
buried
beneath heavy stone

immersed
within cruel soil

i received warning
but could not
give enough
g o o d b y e s

angry tumors conspired
belittling his brain

tighthugs
sillysongs
wetkisses

gone
