Grandma's Coming To Visit Today

Grandma’s Coming to Visit Today

By Elton Camp

Horray! Granny’s coming to visit again
Bringing home-baked cookies in a tin
Kids just love her attention to be shown
Hear her say, “Look how you’ve grown.”

We will know the minute she does arrive
Cause we can hear her coming up the drive
Before she even knocks at the front door,
Because we hear her Harley’s familiar roar

Gail, Thanks. This is the type of response I am trying to evoke with my fun little rhymes. A few, however, are of a more serious nature. Elton

Hey Robert, From what I've read, I'd say your work is of greater quality than mine. I am mainly trying to give folks a chuckle and grind them out very fast. What I post here is only a small part of what I write. My complete works appear on another site that allows pictures to be imbedded within the poems. Thanks for your comment. Elton
