Grand Prize
i disturb the (rest in peace)s
all scattered about, desperately
begging COME OUT! COME OUT!
gnawing naked bones off a silver
platter as the world around
me grows fatter & fatter.
i find spirits licking moss
from the creases of their names,
playing angry games of hop
scotch through the silence.
i climb the fence, bleeding
paste through the joints that
just won't stick- too late,
god licks & folds my eyes
& leads me to my grand
prize.
