Grand Canyon
Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Grand Canyon
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan

I looked into the eyes
of God
at the Grand Canyon-
My knees got weak
and I fell humbly
to the ground -
God spoke to me
Through the wind -
"Behold what stands
before you."
I stood up and looked out
at this sacred place -
I knew that this is
God's temple -
And as I walked
the south rim
of the canyon -
I heard the breathing
of the whispering wind,
Sing praises to the Tribes
from ancient times -
I felt the power
of God -
mind blowing...
breath taking....
almighty -
I've seen it for myself
when -
I looked into the eyes
of God
at the Grand Canyon -
