Grampy's Memory
If it were up to me, I'd climb Heavens stair case.
So, I could see your smiling face
and hear your voice again.
I'd give anything to hold your hand
or get your opinion.
Been three years that you've been gone
your memory is oh so strong.
Sitting here by myself
surrounded by photographs scattered all around.
as your eyes well up and rears fall uncontrollably
I reach for your hand but you're not there.
Even though we're miles apart
we're connected by the heart.
Until it is my time to fly
you’re my angel tonight.
