Graciously Aging

I'm blissful with blest matured certainty!
Growing well is wondrous reality
     I welcome with glowing serenity
As my steps are now ushered to this stage
               Delightfully showing blest advantage.

I'm rejuvenated with transformation to fly!
Knowing signs of aging I can’t defy
My hair does agree and never deny
Though covered with dye so age-truth may hide
Memory lapses confirm mind has tried.

I'm transformed with advancement for God's name!
To grow old graciously is my heart’s aim
          Embracing aging’s beauty without shame
Midst wrinkles are mirth-filled smile prevailing
While blurred eyes hinder not prayer-calling.

                          I'm jubilant with progress-triumph's delight!
Grateful to God for life’s grow*-go-glow height
I choose to grow old, doing what is right
Optimizing faith, love and kindness best
Sharing Christ’s goodness and peace to the rest.

*2Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

In addition, in Proverbs 16:31, the evidence of a life well lived in righteousness is a hoary head. Sara
