Gotta Get Away From This Town

In a town where the only things to do
Are to get jailed or killed
I spent the days of my youth
Watching my peers have fun

Dead end
Something's gotta bend
Here in Nowhere Space, MD

With drug fueled children
Raised by bigoted thieves
I've gotta get out of this town today

Just like hell and high water
We're soaked in gasoline
All it needs is a spark to set it off
And bring the whole place down

Dead end
Something's gotta bend
Here in Empty Space, NJ

With bibles a-thumping
And my generation stoned
I've gotta get out of this town today

I'm leaving home behind me
My story's half engraved
I know it'll end one day
Just don't know the date

But it doesn't matter much to me
If I come crashing down
Just as long as I'm buried
Somewhere other than this town

Dead end
Something's gotta bend
Here in Hope's Tombstone, DC

Where crime's what it takes to
Make it forward in life
I've gotta get out of this town today
