Goodnight, Love

Lay your little head, my love
On that fluffed up pillow so white
Close your heavy eyelids, love
I’ve just come to say goodnight

I lightly kiss your forehead, love
Run my fingers through your hair
Reach to turn your lamp off, love
And tuck you in with care

I sit for but a moment, love
To watch your peaceful sleep
Such a precious picture, love
It forever will I keep

Sleep tight, lovebug
May sweet dreams fill your head
And as the world buzzes on outside
You’ll be safe in bed

Wow, Jennifer. I really liked this. I have a two year old girl and I've been thinking of writing something simular to this for quite a while. I LOVE the repetion of Love, Love IS both a noun AND a verb, isn't it? ;-) Well done! Cyndi
