Goodbye To Night - Hello Daylight

I looked up my dark stairs tonight
To see who just even might
Be there to say to me goodnight
Before I go with a fright
Running out into the night
Where I must then stand and fight
All my ghosts before daylight

For all those ghosts lost and not yet found
Well they are sometimes bound
By the darkness and night sounds
For sleep to them is profound

But like me they want the Sun
Because they have already done
All they could and then some
To rid the darkness from the night
For the hope of bright daylight

So, before night time again comes around
I dream to see a new day
At least one where I and my demons
Can go our separate ways

In Peace
