Goodbye Is Not Forever

Goodbye Is Not Forever
Torn apart when you were taken from me, I prayed for merciful death to set me free. Endless tears, flowing like a river, I cried, believing that with you gone, love too had died. But there on the horizon, I notice a golden rainbow, and somehow deep in my heart and soul I know, you’re sending me a message in the gentle breeze, for my ears only, in the soft rustling of leaves… “My beloved, even though I’m in heaven now, our hearts and souls are joined forever more.”
This piece was inspired by a contest sponsored by Silent One “Quote me Rumi.” “Goodbyes are for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul, there is no such thing as separation.” Rumi…

Rumi said, " that barbed wire on your path is the mind, cut the wire and your path clearly find. when you transcend heart and soul as well as mind, it is like giving sight to the blind. To think love is for the feeble is just wrong, love is for the courageous and the strong." Nicely done

WOW you described in fine words subtle relation of love remains forever even though bodily departed away. while reading poem i remembered ramkrishna parmhans 's departure and how his wife do all his routine work in house for him. i think love becomes even more stable by our inner mind power. so this you dear pandita nicely wrote. awesome.
