Goodbye Is Never Easy

Goodbye is never easy when

You leave someone you love.

Day in day out, they’re someone that 

You can’t stop thinking of.

Yes, finding all the proper words

You want to say is tough.

And getting up the courage, see

Can be extremely rough.

You find it hard to speak at all

And get choked up inside

And then the thought of leaving them 

Brings tears all to your eye.

The hardest thing in all the world

Is saying goodbye to

That special someone that you love. 

To whom your love is true.

Goodbye is never easy when

You leave someone you love.

Day in day out, they’re someone that 

You can’t stop thinking of.
