Goodbye Daisy
At night she passed without a Yelp
A long worn soul of English kelt
I fed her well and dressed her so
But could not save her deaths’ doors tow
The silence now begets her bark
I awaken to a lonely dark
And yet I know she suffers not
Gods angels hold her soul so taught
A silent prayer I say each night
To hold your paw before souls flight
I’m sorry love I wasn’t there
It doesn’t mean I didn’t care
But in my heart you hold a place
Always forever a saving grace.
