Goodbye

Goodbye Said the Greek; A sudden shift So many days By poetic shores; A touch of nice The distant waves Ebb and flow; Recall old haunts On this shoreline, Seagulls make noise; Crowded array Words mix and match Verse of all sorts; The poets plot Strange range, Broad avenues; Quaint company Like minded souls Yet far apart; Online surreal A common flow In afterglow; Yes each soul knows We come, We go; Poesy remains Journey starts, Until it ends; A final page Wit follows whim In words compact; Verse incomplet_ Linger a while On sultry smiles; Crisp voices style Line ferments line As words reveal; What heart conceals And in the end, The moment's mood; Can be far-fetched Nobody knows The hidden tears; Distilled as poems I hide my sighs I blow my horn I linger here Beyond the sphere Of drowsy strain; Poetic complaints! Weaver and merchant Words hurl protest; Change conquers all Leon Enriquez 21 Apr 2014 Singapore
