Goodbye

look into the dreary sky
what a day to say goodbye

weep upon your satin pillow
hoist the flag, watch it billow

for tomorrow there will be no me
but it's not a time for misery

my sins will never be forgotten
if you ask God he'll say I'm rotten

to these sins I can contest
lay my body down to rest

in the soil beneath the earth
like a fire in a hearth

by the time you've looked into the sky
I have already said goodbye

This one was kind of sad, my friends would often read the poems I've written and they thought it was dreary.
