Goodbye

To lose a loved one is hard to bear
But our memories can make us smile
Sadness replaced with happier times
And the pain grows weaker in a while

Each day can bring a little relief
As we stumble to find our way
Somehow the past becomes the present
Just a little bit more each day

We remember the good times instead of the bad
For we choose for the bad times to fade
We thank God for the time that we had
And for all the memories we've made

It's hard to tell a loved one goodbye
Though we know they're simply at rest
For God watches over those who sleep
And holds them near to His chest

The angels stand guard day and night
'Til the Saviour returns with a shout
He'll call all the saints who've already gone
To awake from their sleep and come out

So when you lose someone who's close
There's really no reason to mourn
For when they die in the love of God
It just means that they're only reborn

Great console- Larry I sit and type, but my heart is ripe- I lost a good friend too- Your song is strong, I feel the wrong- I pray the words are true.
