Goodbye
Nearly here once again,
That time of year,
Time to make and break resolutions,
Favourites been i will loose weight,
I will cut down on booze,
I will stop smoking,
There are then more that will not last a day.
Many pubs will be closed this year,
Staying at home with a drink it will be,
Preying and hoping that 2021 will be a better year,
Maybe covid wont rule our lives,
London and other city's will be quiet,
No firework displayed so money saved,
Use it for all those that are homeless and in despair.
12 midnight 2021 fireworks at home go off.
Waking up early or having a lie in on new years day
No family or gatherings so a quiet day,
No January sales in most places shops will be shut,
Stay at home is the mantra to live by.
2020 was a bad year too many people died,
It's a year nobody will ever forget,
We look forward to the future with optimism,
Hopefully it will bring a covid cure and life will begin again.
