Goodbye

This is not a poem. I wish to say goodbye for real now. The amount of hate in this place is overwhelming and I do not wish to be part of it anymore.

My friends know where to find me.

All the great people in here, you know I love you.

Good luck and have a good life.

Hi! I was interested in reading your poems from the Netherlands and this is the first post I came upon, with the most views. My dad used to say, never use the word 'hate' as it's too strong. I'm still new to PoetrySoup, but it seems like most of the people here are good people. We'll miss your poetry! I'll have to look at your older poems. :)

Sorry to see you go, dear friend. Alas, I have a Terminator exoskeleton ... When I put it on, I don't feel pain, nor pity. The haters can never hurt me. Do what you must do, to heal your spirit. You have a good life as well, Darren. Love and more love always.

Hi Darren, I was just reading your featured poem this week. You have such tremendous talent, and I'm sorry to know that you left because of hateful people. That saddens my heart. I just recently came back here after being gone for three years. I hope I don't experience the negativity that you had to deal with. I have found some lovely, new poets, and I hope it stays that way. Just wanted you to know that you and your poetry are a light in this world. God bless you always, Rhonda

So sad that you left. I knew I hadn’t seen you on here for awhile. Kai Neumann wrote a wonderful tribute to you. Be blessed.

Took me a while to see the underbelly, but I just can’t part with some of these folks - the good ones - and right now that’s important ... tomorrow is always a new day. You know how I feel, Buddy, and there will always be a warm place and quiet corner of the day. We shall look each other up from time-to-time, and I am assured that whatever you do, it will be of character and quality, as is the man. Blessings, my friend ... thanks for embracing my work - it meant so much. Love, G

Well, I'm glad I decided to read one of your poems today but I'm sorry to learn that you are leaving because you are truly a talented poet and sweet person. Good luck wherever you go, Darren, and God bless your kind heart.

I can only imagine behind the veil of the lasting words here there are tears, Darren. It's hard. It's hard to cut off a limb to save a heart. I do wish you all the success.

You are going on to bigger and better things Darren. I will never forget your shining light here and the shock to realise the old head on such young shoulders. "May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand" Darren.x
