Good night for now
The door jammed fast,
hall too bright..
too awake for proper
rest.
Fulfilled with teaching,
and being taught..
maybe
it's all for the best.
So I'll say my goodnight
this time dream deep,
think I've earned a sleep,
finally get some rest.
Iconoclast, tell me friend
is it easier..
with
sex,
and drugs,
and rock n roll?
What if I tell you, life's easier
without?
Oh, okay maybe just a little
(rock n roll).
I just might ask, are you happy?
and is it something you search for,
every day, every moment
rather than wait on it..
to come..
every day, every moment.
Maybe one day soon
you too will learn-
what's in it for you
in this life you fight..
your will is your birth
right.
The moment of truth draws near
you see.. life
got the best of me.,
and so I bid you goodnight.
