Good Morning
This morning,
I heard music upon awakening.
T’was sound of the gentle breeze,
with birds singing in the trees,
squirrels hurrying for their keep,
with their young ones still asleep.
This morning,
I saw beauty upon awakening.
our images were still in my head,
turning to see you there in bed,
the sun shining ever so bright
after a long passionate night.
This morning,
I felt love upon awakening.
As I rose in the rooms cold,
I felt someone’s loving hold
as hands held me at the waist,
then I felt lips I longed to taste.
