Good Morning

On the couch after our fight
Both of us sure that we were right

Wrapped up in your blanket tight
Tossed and turned all though the night
Screamed out twice with trembling fright

Up before the sun’s first light
Fresh made waffles of a lofty height
Trying to remove our coffee blight

Warm aroma to reunite
Telling me everything’s going to be alright
