Good Juju

Reminders everywhere
The reason is good
This somehow seems bare

I certainly don't miss you
Presence of the relationship
A healthy one I must pursue

The absence of a human
After all this time
Being crazy is all I was doing

Chasing the wrong crowd
Can't spend life under a rainy cloud
Patience required to switch gears
Second person to make me face my biggest fear

I did,
Hard times for this kid
I can't pretend I know 
I can only try to grow

Things keep popping up
Old paths seem somewhat corrupt
Fresh future promised in new ones I start
They're the targets in each throw of my dart

The most important lesson I've learned
Don't plan, only hope
Work your butt off
One day I'll see the end of the rope
I wont fall
The ground I'm building wont allow it
Sturdy as a rock
Soft enough to touch
Plenty of give to allow a bunch
Of love that will carry my through
End end of my life so happiness and good juju.

I think this poem like many others is great Thanks for sharing Sharon. I keep reading and comment when I can, keep writing.

I was saying these poems about this person, or people reminds me of that quote. I think I'm going to start promoting your poetry. I'm no expert for sure, but I don't think I'm totally ignorant either. I'm am seeing what it is I like. I always liked the unexpected change of pace. I think I see you as a sort of no nonsense person, but with a sarcastic witty side that shows in your writing. I could be wrong. Someone recently shared a quote with me, "Everyone is going to hurt you, you just have to decide who's worth suffering for," Bob Marley. I am probably not quoting exactly, but that's the idea behind it. Sometimes hurt is about perception, but when we see clearly, not hard to decide who's worth suffering for. I think that is what has made me like the quote more and more. Great work again Sharon.
