"COMMIT THY WAY UNTO THE LORD. TRUST ALSO IN HIM AND HE WILL DIRECT THY PATH." Psalm 37:5
The best of intentions,
Are most often lost.
They give way 'neath the weight,
Of the trial and the cross.
Dissolving like mist,
In the light of reality,
To reveal the true width,
And the depth of my frailty.
Although I mean well,
I most often fail,
And then I'm ashamed,
For not having prevailed,
O'er temptations and battles,
That I should have won,
If had not my intentions,
And valor all gone.
It took me some time,
But I finally learned,
That in spite of my faults,
His Grace was yet earned.
Through His efforts not mine,
The King has decreed,
That I am to follow,
He'll take the lead.
