And if all this is not enough to convince you, there is always my poem below. haha

Good Education For All Kids

Good education for all kids would be
my way to change the world for everyone
because without this opportunity,
the world can never change. Can it be done?
Can people see past sex and race to give
all children education? Without it,
we’ll keep declining! How can we all live
with ignorance? Our kids will take the hit!
If we teach care of our environment,
awareness of each problem, and its cure,
I think we’ll see our dollars wisely spent,
especially when we educate the poor.
To see the end of social ills on earth
we must give education greater worth.

The best education in the world matters little compared to parental sparks and inspiration. :-)

Wow, this is such a sensible poem I've ever read now, of course other than its greatness form of composition. A rate of 7 from me. :)

EXCELLENT! I have so many friends in education that would put this up in their classroom. Perfect classical Sonnet. I love that you chose this genre for such an important message since using something so classical highlights the requirement for education. Good bit of art!

Hello Andrea ... bigots fear education more than anything else. It exposes many untruths and everyone should have the right to learn - Lindsay

I vehemently agree with you Andrea. Don't get me on my soap box over this issue. Education is the answer. With education we will also have access to better teachers and can keep the ball rolling. A great poem! I also agree with Timothy, we need to stop force feeding children subjects they will never use and hate learning. If they are provided a trade they are interested in they will excel. They of course need to learn the basics. #7 : )

Well stated, my friend. Education is definitely a must, as well as letting children blossom into their own peculiar interests ... I don't know if you like rap or not, but if you want a song that has very thought provoking lyrics, look up Don't Stay In School on YouTube. It's not against education, despite the title, rather it's a critique on the current education system we have. Hope your poem does well in the contest!

Being a retired teacher, I consider education the most important of all aspects. Without it we are little better than aborigines. Good work and love, daver

I believe you are right 100 percent! As you know I have a young one, she isn't in school yet, but education starts even before the school years, it is important for parents to want to make their kids better. Great message Andrea. ;)
