Good Bad Special Me
GOOD
What’s good about me? Nothing
and everything. Nothing because
like everyone else I am a sinner;
everything because like some I am saved.
My attempt to do good is nothing at all
unless I walk in my Father’s shoes
BAD
I can be like a tape on repeat. Can you visualize
the movie reel: ‘round and ‘round it goes
flapping in the wind, like flapjack pajamas,
exposing the hind quarters to everyone.
— happens when I feel wronged
but sista…oh brother, by the grace of God
I’m an overcomer
SPECIAL
I grin like a Cheshire cat, with my pearly off-whites.
I carry my bible in my heart. Can’t take it away from me.
it’s part of me — well Jesus is.
Love my family, like most…
I want the best for them like most…
Like some, their eternity is a grave matter…
I pray without ceasing. For them, you and me
