Gone without doubt. Black lungs charred that glisten like coal, Try stand and stumble like new born foal . Bludgeoned and shattered by what’s inside me, The force of disease you cannot see. Surrounded by shadows lurking with fear, Inevitable death gaining ever so near. Worry lines laughter lines cuts bruises scars, Body is prison with no visible bars. Memory wiped clean with odd speck of dust, Mind closed to the possibility of future lust. Figments of past life floating on by, Heightens the urgency wanting to die. Life taken too short no time to grieve, Born lived died we come and we leave. Not out dancing no dinner no wine, Bullets of pain lodged in the spine. Life in slow motion play button paused, Always a burden the upset you’ve caused. Dragged down deeper invisible hole, Rumbles of thunder muster deep in your soul. Constant eclipse in eyes filled with hate, Lured into the darkness with shards of deaths bait. No escape now til wooden box laid, Sadness tears anguish and memories fade.
