Gone too soon

Our precious little man
You will always be to me
So perfect, pure, and innocent
A part of heaven's family.

We dreamed of you and your life
And all that it would be
While we waited for you
To join our family.

We never got the chance to play
Or hear you breathe, just for one day
We long to hold you
Touch you now
To laugh, to rock, to see you wiggle
And also to hear you giggle.

I will always be your mummy
He will always be your dad.
You will always be our baby
The baby that we had.

Now you're gone . . . But yet you're here
We sense you everywhere
You're our sorrow and our joy
There's love in every tear.

Just know our love goes deep and strong
We'll forget you never
The baby we had but never had
And yet will have forever.

People say there is a reason 
And that time will heal.
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel
For no one knows how many times
We have broken down and cried
We want to tell you something
So there is never any doubt
You are so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to be without.

Our son, you were born sleeping.
Perfect and beautiful
You are missed by those around you
And although we will never be swell
You have left your tiny footprints
Within the heart of Belle.

Although they cannot be here today
And you will never get the chance to play
You will be deeply missed by your cousins
As you are the missing piece of their puzzle.

We will be your voice.
You will live on in us.
So we have made the choice.
To honour your life
By living again
We love you,
We miss you,
We will see you again.

My son, you're one of heaven's angels now
A perfect little star
And when you shine,
The world can see
How beautiful you are.

May you fly with magic wings
On clouds so soft and white
May your heart be joyful
And your days bathed in light.

Now you have to leave us.
And fly high in the sky
To be by your grandad's side.

And though our hearts are broken
And your life was far too short
We thank you, sweetest angel
For the happiness you brought.
