Gone To Soon
Looking in the sky I no longer find the traces
Of billowing clouds, forming interesting faces
I no longer see the man in the moon
It's gone to soon
This is no ranch it is just a room
And I don't have a pony, it's an old corn broom
It's to distance for memories to loom
It's all gone to soon
There's no damsel in distress
She's now pushing sixty, and she's quite a mess
It's a fact in which I am attuned
It's all gone to soon
That's no dragon or a magic frog
It's a one eyed cat and a mangy old dog
I'm sure they both will be asleep by noon
We're all gone------- to soon
