Gone
I close my eyes
And see your face.
I feel the desire
Burning in my mind
To reach out,
To be able to hold your hand,
And feel your firm grip,
Your warm fingers enveloping mine.
I want you to make me laugh,
For you to tell me stories,
To have you next to me again.
I open my eyes
And it all disappears.
I long to go back
To that place where we were
Before everything went wrong,
Before I learned
That you are gone.
