Golden Not Brass

What we do and what we say
reflect our character day by day.
If others receive our best to give,
it's love and life as we now live.

Living for others is our aim.
We reside here on this earthly plain
to serve and save, it is the way.
Joy eternal, or so they say.

But mortal and weak as we are born
leads us through a life where scorn
and temptation can lead astray.
We must adopt the better way.

Forget oneself! it can be done.
Let us begin by having fun.
Do unto others what is best.
We receive, and we are blessed.
