Writers write, walkers walk, Singers sing, talkers talk Who are we to measure The merits of mortals. We wear these clothes, Agree and disagree, for awhile. Our Journeys traveled All the same With tear or smile. Gifts are given, Gifts received, In haste of youth We are deceived. Payments given, Bargains sought Or bought. Dreams we live in, Glimpsed But never caught. To every stage A curtain comes, To every age Certain sums, And in the end: We were always Someones golden moment.
