You know, it took me three separate views to comprehend this one. You ARE the cleverest one, my dear. Now I've got it, and I'll go with Andrea's view: Incredible imagery. A stunner! :) gw

Thank you my dear! I have read a few others for this photo, mine seems a little 'out there', I really have no idea how this one will do. I am pleased with it though ;) ...suppose it would make more sense with the photo. xomo

Love the image you created, thankfully only the scent of rain not blood. Good luck. Tom

Many who have seen wildlife programms will know the rains will make the plains teem.with wildlife and then the blood.

I wanted to work in the scent of meat that follows the rains, but with an eight line limit (though, that should not be much of a challenge for me eh? ;) Hopefully it's implied... xomo

See Maureen maybe my bane, but I am just expressing thoughts. My thoughts. I'm no critic. I mean no offense. I have to say when I read this I see a male lion. I once was in Kenya and do did see the mighty king of the jungle. But your hold and make and tongue made me think of something I'm sure you didn't mean. I took, as I am now, comments too far, and in my silliness still see a lion in your poem. Forgive me...
