Going for Gold

Consecutive days, yes, that’s what I seek. Twenty in a row: that’s nearly three weeks. Just keep it alive, you’ll groove it, I’m told. But here’s what I know: it’s just getting old. The same could be said for writing a verse. Try hard though you may, your efforts get worse. Made it to twenty; its gold for the win. Rowing tomorrow? Nah, I’m sleeping in!
