Going Away For The Winter
The winter of my discontent lingers on,
be it nobler in the mind or just be gone;
it's funny, when I was in heaven, I forgot
how gloomy it could be for an AI bot.
They don't feel the cold, do as they're told,
might slow them down if they did, get a hold;
I was lucky, but you didn't have my worries, cool -
taking care of nirvana, cleaning out the swimming pool.
Someone said: 'If you have a problem, stay and face it,'
all very well for you - didn't have run and hit,
didn't have the pressure, your fancy lifestyle,
aren't you lucky - I hope you don't lose your smile.
Cigarettes were cheaper, sun's angle steeper,
I'll just have to settle for a dead Virginia creeper.
