Goin' Home

I did try,
Somehow I failed,
I've grown weary
My heart was ailed
I was so tired,
And rest eternal
Sounded good,
And I wrote it in my journal,

I wanted to go home,
I had enough, I tried,
Too many nights,
I had cried,

I'm ready to move on,
To some I'd seem gone,
But I'd still be there,
And I'd always care,
About all those I love,
I'd smile down on, from above
