Goethe's Path
My soul nods to stands that bow to life that passes by.
A graceful path to spend my day breathing in fresh air.
A grateful heart is filled with warmth beneath a shrouded sky.
My eye's are gazing in such awe that God has led me there.
When man and nature dance in kind, it's wonderful to see.
An artful sculpture to enjoy for many years to come.
It fills the senses with delight to just let nature be.
I think that if you are real quiet, you'll hear angels hum.
I'd like to build my home right here among this glorious realm.
But things like this cannot be bought and truly must be shared.
For there are powers beyond us who are guiding at the helm.
And for the sake of all of us, it's beauty must be spared.
