Godspeed, Harry
On the wings of a Pegasus,
You've spirited away
To be with the Lord in heaven.
I wish I knew you better
During your living years,
But through your poetry,
You opened ajar
The window to your soul,
For that I'm eternally grateful!
God has called you home,
Whispering into your ear
"Your work here is done."
We, your dear poet friends,
Miss you here on Earth,
But you're exactly where
You're supposed to be;
Free of all pain and suffering.
You left behind written jewels
To be fondly revisited by admirers
For years and years to come.
Godspeed, Harry J. Horsman!
