The gods that man makes in fevered dreams
carved from sorrow n stone
wrought in iron & regret
they watch, hollowed eyed
lips sealed in ancient forgotten tongues
whisper secrets only no one can hear
cold embrace touched by gods, forgotten
in the darkness, awaken, remembering?

The gods that man makes in flickering screens
cold fire of pixels, sacrifice of time, thought, connection
Altars of debris fill fleeting moments
selfies grinning into the void
comments echoing in hollow chambers
likes are a measure of soul
of this digital pantheon
vacant eyes n manicured lies
gospel of consumption
doom scroll of desires
a captured congregation
prayers on glass screens
bowed not in reverence
but the trance of the glow!

The gods that man makes
in his own twisted image
pale reflections of power
hungry for sacrifice
demanding obedience
of fire and brimstone
sit on thrones in skulls of gold
blind suffering below
deaf cries of the innocent
in labyrinths of dogma
scriptures, etched blood n ink
dictate a world of fear n division
where the righteous rewarded
wicked condemned
to eternal darkness, damnation
in the shadows stirs
ancient of power, older n time
forces know no master
chaos whispers truths, forgotten.
