Notes About The Poem

I believe that divorce is one of the most painful things people go through,
especially for the children that are involved.  A friend told me one time,
divorce is worse than death because it just keeps going on.

The Lord led me to the revelation that had I not married when I did, my
father would not have seen all of his grandchildren before he died, the
other, I have four of the most wonderful children I could ever have had.
Praise God!

Gods Plan For You

God’s Plan for You

Though at times we may not understand
the way that our God moves, 
so with each step and with each day
we walk and talk with Him and pray.

It took the grace of God to join
this woman with this man; 
to bring the four of you into this world
was in His wondrous plan.

But, who can say why love grows cold
between a husband and his wife, 
it seems to be one of many pains
that we suffer in this life.

I can only say my little ones
it didn’t start that way, 
it started with love and happiness
much like a beautiful spring day.

Now I can say with peace in my heart
that I truly loved your dad, 
and I did the very best I could
I gave him all that I had.
