God's Most Glorified By Our Satisfaction
God's glory returns to Him alone
all because He's most glorified
when His saints are united in Him
being satisfied by His grace is applied
Bringing glory to God all the more
is connected when receiving much grace
real satisfaction comes only from our Lord
who sends us grace upon grace to His praise
Real living faith comes from believing
on the God of His word eternally true
so take the Lord simply at His word
then true faith will flourish like morning dew
So be pleased to courageously confess
I shall greatly honour my Lord and king
for the Lord hears this for His pleasure
then we can raise our voice, an upward spring
Our greater aim in life is to send glory
high and lifted up to our satisfier
the Lord God alone meets that title
for our great intercessor never will retire
(Quote:
" God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in HIm."
" We shall bring our Lord most glory if we get from Him much grace. If I have much faith so that I can take God at His word. I shall greatly honour my Lord and king.")
Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892)
