God's Loving Care

I sought to find God's great, great love; His silent presence in every road I trod. I wondered if He heard my call Had he taken heed to my weary soul? In adverse mist did He really care? Then at one time he showed me how: He knew my woes by my simple sigh, Birds' lovely twitting was His reply. I heard their songs, their soothing tunes Comforting melodies when I mourn. Oh! Flying swallows; cascading streams, God's reassurance to a weak man's dream. Those hindrances that ceased my pace Divine prevention lest I'd be misplaced. To where I go the faith I keep That in God's leading is a flight so safe. When heart is aching why shed a tear? Because when eyes are washed-up the view is clear. So from day to day that this soul should live Be it in a shanty or a secluded cave I have my hopes and I fear no more Somewhere beyond is God's open door. Waiting in place is my eternal share; For I am among His blessed heirs. Date & Time of Writing: Oct 4, 1992 1:15am - 2:02am I celebrated my b-day anniversary alone. I had my youthful fear and confusion that I subjected myself through introspection. I wrote this poem to cheer myself up...
