God's Love Is My Desire
You led my weary soul down the Heaven’s lane
A lustrous realm o’ Holy Church divine
Where moons of loneliness cannot taunt my mind
But a thousand Angels humming sweet refrain
Of songs, sipping these inner inequities--
That buried me deep beneath this rag of shame
O, today surely I’ll rejoice, for you came
Uplifting soul o’ mine to eternal bliss
How happy I am dwelling inside thy fold
Where I sow my thought near thy crystal blue stream
Whilst people of this world dance beyond the fire
O, how sweet, among the many, I was called
And included inside the true Church I dreamed
God has been merciful! His love, I desire
