God's Love
God’s love is alive, a fire inside
Poured out by the Holy Spirit
Washing away all of the pride
Assuring of a comfort explicit
God’s love is a sincere promise
To give generously of real hope
A joy and peace that is flawless
Reassurance that helps to cope
God’s love is more than emotion
It is wise, faithful and passionate
Filled with a sweet, soft devotion
The sensation is fully extravagant
God’s love is the answer to prayer
Fills the heart with joy overflowing
Knows that there will always be care
And knowledge that faith is growing
God’s love is a compassionate embrace
Reminds us that we’ll always praise
It ensures the spirit of the thrill of grace
There is the awareness that does amaze
God’s love is a whisper that tells a secret
It is beautiful and charms the wild beast
Without pride, it produces a real meekness
And it gives from the heart to the very least
God’s love is a healer of the worst sorrow
Without a word it confides the best truth
That goodness and delight fill tomorrow
With all the lovingkindness that will soothe
God’s love is salvation of the soul
When it’s felt deeply, it truly consoles
Creating a sense of what is the goal
A life that the Holy Spirit fully controls
1 John 4:8 “He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love.”
