God's Little Poet

He poked his head
betwix mine write
for the likes of I
to address his query

"Do I blend in
Pops
do my words
sense"

The tears
fell

James,"wow! your spell bounding words are captured perfect in this poem. A little sad with happy spirited emotions to go through. Amazing with them deep thoughts. But, like you said at the end, ( the tears fell )I really did enjoyed the ending. take care,..p.d.

Great poem. Still leaves me wondering how many kids one has to go through before they start their emotional bond together. Sometimes They Come Back!

I can see a chip of the old block coming. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, as we all see. I like the family love and father/son unity demonstrated in this poem. Keep the quill flowing. Great job! Joseph

Oh, I can just hear Noah asking you if he "blends in," James. If I were you, I'd tell him, "No, son, you stand out!" Somehow children feel the need to fit in even more than adults do. Dry those tears and give him a hug for me! Love, Carolyn
