God's Light
I saw the light
like a tunnel to heaven
there it lay, right over you
and you, I knew
were waiting for your death
God, I knew
already had you
an angel in his sights
Your acceptance
was admirable
Weeks later you were gone
and many people lost
But I know you more in death
than in life
I read your poetry
I know you more
You were wise
I know that for sure
