God's Hand Upon Me

The hand of God touches me upon my brow
As the ray from the sun peers through the clouds
Offering direction, light and hope for all who see
Welcome the offered hand and reach out to it
The warmth shall embrace you and all together
Creating a blanket of equality, harmony and hope
Fear not the brightness, but gaze into it
Allowing yourself to witness goodness in its true form

Goodness its truest form? I find that difficult to decipher sometimes. What is good? a forever battle for me, because the agenda of man/ woman lies with whatever opportunity is laid before them. I will continue to look to my heart to guide. This poem really made me think. It goes to the core question that I honesty wrestle with daily, especially when friends reveal themselves shocking the hell out of you. I am glad you wrote this. Thanks, Chris.
