Gods Grace Apparent

Stallion had almost forgotten the joy of colt-hood He watches his son gallop down the familiar path Was I ever this young? Stallion whispers to his mare. She assures him that he was, and sometimes still is. You are always young in my eyes, she tells him. Parental pride rains upon the couple as they watch their colt As if he was their only child, when he is their third born son. The sun gave nurturing vitamin D to the young family. God’s grace apparent in the surrounding cactus And the wild flowers that enjoyed the frolicking colt.
