Gods Chosen One

Born from sincere love, under onyx skies
Is the righteous One of soft golden hue
This child is the world’s redeemer, its prize
Rescuer of men, His light will shine through

To deliver souls from the Hell fire
Jesus, selfless Lord, is God’s Chosen One
Settling men’s debts is His only desire
In sermons before His work would be done

He brought forth the truth of God’s Holy Word
Telling people of the Kingdom to come
Giving up His life; the cost He incurred
First, bloodied by thorns, he then did succumb

Let us rejoice in His victory won
Divine redemption by God’s only son

Mark, Came to this fine poem after seeing the devastation in Oregon and felt the burden lighten. Loss of property.,nothing compared to loss of life. Keeping them in my prayers. Keeping the faith. -Richard
