Goddities Pt 3

maybe if we were living in a world
where dollars and cents made no sense
maybe then we'd have some reason to...
talk to each other

maybe if we all had the same interests
and we thought in the same exact ways
no differing opinions, maybe then we'd...
talk to each other

everyone's trying to prove a hypocrite
like there's something wrong with it
well what if i just flat out admitted it?
what if i said that then did this?

i think i'll write and recite my own eulogy
knowing i'll be the only one there anyway
so no one will scream when i get up to speak
it'll be all over the place, just like everything...

"so" i'll say "i sit and talk about this nonexistent god
just because he's what i grew up with...
who coined the term
and who endowed it with such worth?
here's a thought
maybe one of those schizophrenics
you know
the kind that sees s---...
well maybe one day he was walking down jerusalem avenue
turned around and saw some beautiful bright figure
stood there with his mouth agape going 'gaaaah'
then some passerby came over and closed his mouth for him"

maybe if we were living in a world
where "gaaaaaaahh-d" never existed
we wouldn't have so many crusades in his name
because he's on everybody's side... right?
if you lose, well, maybe he was just ticked off
then maybe we'd just sit in
our meaningless depression and eventually...
talk to each other
